![]() So question, what does a 2010-2012 put down to the tire w/ 15lbs of boost? we can reverse the driveline loss to compare it to the 2013. I`m betting it won`t be far off, that is if we have the stock boost levels correct for the 2013 and the previous model. Now of course the 2013 will make more power due to the bigger engine, better blower, but I bet we will find it won`t be that far off. So the moral is don`t go out and sell you 2010-2012 GT-500`s just yet...Till we know all the details ![]() just did a google, GT-500 at 14lbs of boost, previous gen, it does have a Kenny Bell instead of the Eaton, so the Eaton would probably make a little less w/ the added heat but 643rwhp at 14lbs. This new 2013 662fwhp -12%driveline loss=583rwhp... Sounds like they will be pretty close at the same boost level especially if you are running an aftermarket blower on a 2010-2012. Here is a link to the 14lb KB car:http://www.streetfire.net/video/auto...une_696017.htm

I really don't understand some of you Ford fans, its like all yall car about is 1/4 mile performance. GM has been focusing on TOTAL performance for years, that means more and often harder to do than just going fast in a straight line. I've said from the beginning that the camaro chasis has the most potential for a track car and The mustang for the drag strip. Kudos to Ford but I'm still not seeing the mustang being faster than the ZL1 on a road course and the tech in the ZL1 is clearly geared for the tack first and the drag strip second while having a superior everyday ride quality than any mustang period. That's nothing to scoff at, the GT 500 imo is geared for the drag strip first and the road course second. Both are good but have different priorities. IMVHO..

The weight savings from that will help the drivetrain loss so i don't think the drivetrain loss on the 11-12's will be the same... The 13 should be less. |

and ford cares about "total performance" as well. All the makes do actually. Look at the mustang though, the 5.0 and boss are very capable track performers. The Boss is an excellent track car and is great on the strip as well. Last i checked (a few months ago) the baby brother Boss Mustang stock with only a tire were running 11.7's@117mph. Thats a good all round car if you ask me and not just a drag strip monster. |

with what it has, im surprised the GT500 "only" makes 662hp. Im sure boltons pulley and a tune will do more for it than the previous GT500's

I could only imagine what just a 4.0 whipple swap would do to this thing. My guess, close to 1000hp... |
