Man, that sounds like another disappointment dream, too bad.

I dreamed last night that I was in a pub in Belfast during the occupation by Brits. I looked over at the fellah next to me along the bar; it was Sammy Davis Jr. He said that I should, "Be careful, bro'." A couple of IRA men motioned me over to their table. When I sat down, one of them offered me a cigarette which I lit and inhaled deeply, (in reality, I don't smoke). They told me an important operation was in the works for which I was well suited, and that I would be told more as it became necessary. In reality, I have spoken with IRA volunteers in Belfast, but I never took part in an operation. Before the dream could proceed any further, I awakened, damn it.

For the lack of a fellow dreamer sharing her/his memories, I shall post another nocturnal episode of my mental répertoire.

I dreamed last night that I was in 17th Century Britain, Isaac Newton was explaining his Laws of Motion when I dropped a rod of metal (about a meter in length); it flew across the room and penetrated the wall coming to rest against a metal substratum. This seemed strange to me because the room, and the house in its entirety, was a typical half-timbered Elizabethan building of wattle and daub. This javelin effect occurred with a clanking sound that startled Sir Isaac as well as your narrator. We looked at each other for a moment, then he asked, "What caused that?" I was about to explain the discoveries that came after him regarding wave theory of Hertz and electro-magnetism of James Clark Maxwell, when I saw that the whole world of the dream was changing into a never-ending loop (a möbius continuüm, if ya' know what I mean) from which I had to extricate myself tout de suite, or I'd be lost there forever. How I knew that is unclear, it was just a feelin'. I ran out the window, (yeah, I know, ya' can't run out such things, but what the hell, it was a dream) and I awoke right then.

I dreamed the other night that I was in my father's home (it is 97 years old, yet the newest one on the block in Berkeley, CA). The wooden floor in the parlor was opened and an excavation was underway below. Steam and drifting smoke was issuing, and sounds of heavy metal clang against metal could be heard. The view of the room suddenly rotated 90 degrees and rose about 3 meters, the height of the ceiling in that old structure. My father was sitting in a wing-back chair reading a leather bound book. He appeared to be thirty or forty years younger than his actual age of 89. I called out to him, but he did not seem to hear me. I floated out the front door and up into the sky. There was a beautiful sunset that I could see out through the Golden Gate toward the Farallon Islands. Then I awoke.
