Usually when everybody in a group is telling you the same thing and you are the only one shouting something different, you are probably wrong. Just going to leave it at that. I mean I didn't own one or anything... How should I know which is better?

Well put it to you this way, I'm not wrong, and I'm going to leave it at that, because all of this is 100% subjective. Enjoy your mustang kool aid.

It's really entertaining to read Mustang drivers' upset reactions to criticism from members of a Camaro community.

This forum is open in the same way Allen Fieldhouse is open during a basketball game. Kansas fans politely entertain visitors, but we all know which way the fans are rooting. Please keep this in mind for future posts.

Having owned a 2011 5.0 for 5 months, I'm gonna have to disagree with most everything you said. Respectfully of course. The clutch in the mustang was amazing. The ride was very shaking and unsettled but it was surefooted and corned very well. The seats were very soft and I liked them quite a bit, although the camaro does fit better for me. My 5.0 only had the 3.31 gear and I'm pretty sure it would dust my camaro easily in stock form. And as for interior quality, the camaro is way behind the mustang. My mustang was a premium model and had a very nice interior for such an inexpensive car.
I have researched both of these cars and interior quality debate aside I was more comfortable in the camaro and it appeared more spacious (to me). At first I thought I was crazy because looking at the interior dimensions for the driver they are almost identical, but then I found two pictures of the interior and came to the conclusion that I wasn't crazy.

1. The console on the mustang is wider and sits closer to your right leg.
2. If you look at the left side the radio speaker pops out of the door and pops into your left legroom. The camaro's is in the door so it doesn't suffer from this problem.
3. The steering wheel on the mustang feels like it sits on your lap. I couldn't fix it by using the steering wheel tilt or putting the seat lower or farther back. If you look at both pictures you will see how much closer the mustang steering wheel bottom is to the seat than the camaros.

And to keep it objective....

The camaro had less headroom, but it was not enough to cause issues for me as long as i didn't get the sunroof. For some reason it seems that with the sunroof there is less headroom.

I also did not like the clutch travel on the camaro. God damn it feels like that pedal travels a mile before it hooks. Any way to adjust this or modify it?

Be thankful you have choices. Both are great cars. Chose the one that speaks to you. And if it literally starts speaking to you....then lay off the psychedelics.

Actually, when someone expresses a dislike of a car and get's shouted down on this forum it's because they spoke about a Ford and got the faithful all riled up.

I have very little love for ford after what happened with my 5.0. But I have respect for them and it's plain and simple that they are slightly nicer inside. Sorry you can't notice that. I owned a premium model and my 2SS camaro is just not all that inside. But it's is still very nice.

The only one who is getting upset is the camaro owners. I could care less. I bought the camaro for a reason and love it, despite the subpar interior.

That's one part of the mustang that I had serious worries about with my past experiences with Chinese metal. Nothing against the Chinese people. I like Chinese Food, Chinese medicine, and even Chinese women. Chinese metal.....not so much.

I am curious to hear the story though. So what happened?

You are correct. This thread is hijacked lol. And yes, it was a sorry excuse for a transmission. The metal wasnt the problem though. The quality control of the trans was the issue. Beat on it a little and it fell apart. Started making a horrible whine, like the gears were out of sync or misaligned. It's gone now.

Transmissions are mostly metal. Something was making the noise and something metallic most likely fell apart, but either way that's not the important part.

Did Ford deny the warranty? Did they not stand behind the transmission?

Here are some pictures that were posted on another forum. Who needs all those metal teeth anyways?

The only Mustang that arouses me is the newer model GT500's. Love the look of them. Otherwise, I hate 'em..

I must admit, a 5.0 is fast. My buddy has a 2011 5.0. He beat me
