The only reason why I say it would be easier is because I'm more likely to move my left foot away from the pedals to where the foot switch might be than I am to accidentally pull a high beam lever. But for those of us that have never experienced the wonders of the highbeam floor switch ... what makes them so awesome?

with a auto i would agree with it clutch might be easy to hit im only 20 but the first truck i had 1989 ford F-150 had the floor switch and i loved it. I actually agree with it for safety reason not like anyone drives right today anyway but its one less reason to take your hands off the wheel

I also kinda liked having the starter on the floor in old trucks etc...... although it did make it difficult to pump the gas, hit the starter and hold the clutch in..... with 2 feet

I think its easier to flash your highbeams on the floor..... mine really clicks on and off on the stalk, have to pull it twice to get it to flash on and off.... makes for a 2 second each flash

I'm not trying to say one is better than the other ... I just don't understand what makes the foot switch so much more superior to a hand switch. btw ... its probably best to not play with the radio while in a turn

thats not the fault of the placement of the lever. I always shuffle steer and never have the problem of hitting the lever JMO, But i dont think its the placements fault :emoticon7:

shouldn't say everything should be foot controlled...... nice to spread out controls over different things....... there's a reason why every button in the car isn't in one spot..... same reasoning behind why Porsche puts their ignitions on the left side of the steering wheel. |

Foot control you do nothing different at the wheel. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
