I test drove a Genesis 2.0 Turbo R-Spec with the Track Package and 6 spd once for giggles. It wasn't fast (at least compared to the Camaro), but I liked how it handled around curves. Everything was tight and I felt comfortable taking corners. They aren't bad at all, and I'd like to see where they go if they do put a V8 in them.

Unlike the "big 3" , Hyundai has been plagued by perception issues. Everyone looks at Hyundai and associates them with poor quality and poorly built. Over these last few years, they have worked incredibly hard on changing this perception and have done very well...but still have work to do. Production is another thing I would like to briefly discuss. It all comes down to how large the company is, what the needs of the dealers are, what the people want (loyalty) and perception. So it's really no surprise that these three sold more. Hyundai is a growing company who is trying to change their image. Overall, what they are doing, is a success...because if not, they wouldn't be around anymore. One can only be bad for so long before it all falls apart. |

Of course it wouldn't be that fast. It wouldn't even be considered fast if it were compared to the v6 camaro. The 2013 genesis will obviously be quicker. |

It is a Feakin' Hyundai! If any of you were alive back in 86' when they came out with the xcel or excel, you would understand.

I still remember the 60s HP Excel. That is one of the biggest POS car. This is not the 80s or 90s anymore. The Hyundai of the last few years are very nice and reliable cars. I will buy a V8 Genesis if it is faster, cheaper and handle better than a Camaro. You guy must have forgot how crappy and unreliable American cars are in the 80s or 90s as well. Honda and Toyota rules back in the day. American and Korean cars are just as reliable as Japanese car now.

What's the right car? I know in the 80s and 90s, you can just buy any Honda or Toyota and they will be way better/more reliable than the American equivalent. Anyway, i think Hyundai have improved very very much in the last few years. Judging them by how they are in the 80s is just retarded and being a fanboy. |

Uh, yes exactly. You were suggesting that sales figures dictate success or failure and I used two extremes to make a counter point. If you don't know Hyundai's sales projections or profit margin on each car, their sales figures don't tell you anything about how successful the model is.
