interesting facts about the OP:

1. drives Oldsmobile, which been dead for many years, obviously because the cars were rebadged crap and nobody bought them...
2. a mini van, no explaination needed....
3. I would be willing to bet that Honda can and has produced a van that has better fuel economy, higher resale, is produced here, and many times greater in quality..
4. you probably didnt noticed there were no fat people in church..
5. resentment and hatred before/after church then coming on here to complain shows that the message being delivered is falling on hard ground...
6. with a name SandDemon, should explain #5

American manufacturing needs to be brought back to the US, that is my point. Sorry if some of you misunderstood.

Oh yeah, my Olds has had no problems and we will soon have it for 7 years. Russo how many brakes have you gone through? I have owned Japanese cars , but they are no better than American brands. Sanddemon is just a name it could have been Ossur. It could have been any parking lot anywhere.

Technically if you were in Japan, you'd see vastly different cars. For example, the JDM Odyssey looks a hell of a lot better than the mess that we have.

the 5 Honda's, 1 Mitsu, and my current Dakota i have had NO major problems... 03 Accord had some door trim wrinkles and my 09 Dakota had a broken seat bolt... not to make it a GM issue, but they have never made a good van and still dont.. it's why most national parcel and equipment companies use the Mercedes built (Dodge and Peterbilt rebadged) Sprinter...

It couldn't have been like Japan. Because all those cars are imports here...Japan makes it damn near impossible for foreign companies to compete in their markets....what a concept.

And that's definitely a loss to Japanese consumers.

People aren't buying foreign cars because they hate their own country.. They buy them because the foreign cars get better gas mileage for the most part, are generally reliable, cheap to fix and they have the newest technology or whatever. People will buy whatever they think is the best, and it doesn't matter what country it comes from the best will always win. Its like the Olympics. The US just needs to step their game up when it comes to making cars that will entice foreign buyers.
