I want to see what the gas mileage is. Usually the V6 get pretty close mileage to a V8 in a full size truck. That will be the selling point.

It looks like the torque change is in the variable valve timing. Could be switching to a more efficient setting at that rpm, but can't say as I don't dyno Toyotas.

Probably spendy to BUY too.

How does the price compare to the "wasteful" V8's?

yes. it's gutless by todays standards.

my 09 with a 5.3 is ok. the 6 speed helped a little. but they need to dump the 4.8 all together, use the 5.3 as the base engine and the 6.2 should be an option in any 1\2 ton you want.

The early estimates, and take these with a grain of salt, is 23mpg.

The 6.2-liter V8 will carry the highest price tag in Ford's revamped F-150 engine lineup for 2011.
According to Ford F-150 marketing manager Mark Grueber, relative to the all-new 3.7-liter V-6 entry level engine, the 5.0-liter V8 will carry a $1,000 premium over the 3.7. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 will carry a $750 premium over the 5.0 and the 6.2-liter V-8 will carry a $1,995 premium over the 5.0.

I read a while back the Ecoboost is only gonna be available on higher end trucks. Is this true? I hope not because I would serious consider a lower model with the ecoboost.

You'd think that discussion would come up somewhere at Ford since Ken Block is their the spokesman for their product who races turbo charged awd Fords now, and is killing it on yourtube with his new Gymkhana 3 video featuring his new Ford Fiesta race car.

I'd also like to see what Vaughn Gittin Jr. could do in a pumped up V6 or I4 ecoboost Mustang since his current supercharged V8 powered 2010+ mustangs weighs in at 2,5xx lbs

I really hope SVT puts together an AWD focus/fiesta.

Does anyone know if the ecoboost will fit in the focus/fiesta?
