Everybody who bought a GT500KR last year must be Pissed right now, and they deserve it. The 2010 GT500 has more power but for $45,000 if ford wants to stick with a SRA then why don't they give the GT500 the Ford 9" Rear end, which is much stronger??? Overall I think it is an improvement, though I dought it will be much faster since it will have a hard time putting the power down with it 8.8" rear end.

I hate to admit this, but if I had $50K to buy a car, as much as I love the Camaro, I would have an EXTREMELY hard time try to choose between the 2SS or the GT500 (I'm 17, so I dont have the cash for either one, I'm just daydreamin'

let me help you, "Unfortunately, one aspect that didn't change is the cast iron engine block. The aluminum block that was used in the Ford GT supercar had a dry sump system that can't be packaged in the Mustang. Thus, the iron block from the F-150 was used with the top end of the GT engine, which pushed the car's weight up over 3,900 lbs. That makes the GT500 both the heaviest and most powerful Mustang.

What the heck are you talking about??? the GT500 weighs MORE than the Camaro.

ya thats what i thought too. the gt500 is way overweight. my 03 termi was heavy because of the IRS, but with a SRA in the gt500, it should have stayed the same or lost weight

I think so, too.
I like the back end of the '07-'09 GT500 better than the 2010 GT500.
I like the hood vents on the '07-'09 GT500 better than the "paper shredder slot".
I think the front end of the '07-'09 GT500 is cleaner and less busy looking.
I don't like the racing stripes on the seats and shift knob on the 2010 GT500.

And anyone can add the FRPP CAI kit with ProCal tuner and have the exact components used to bump the '07-'09 500hp/480tq GT500 motor up to 540hp/510tq for the GT500KR and the 2010 GT500. (Like I already did on my '08 GT500.)
