Everybody who bought a GT500KR last year must be Pissed right now, and they deserve it. The 2010 GT500 has more power but for $45,000 if ford wants to stick with a SRA then why don't they give the GT500 the Ford 9" Rear end, which is much stronger??? Overall I think it is an improvement, though I dought it will be much faster since it will have a hard time putting the power down with it 8.8" rear end.

ya thats what i thought too. the gt500 is way overweight. my 03 termi was heavy because of the IRS, but with a SRA in the gt500, it should have stayed the same or lost weight

I think so, too.
I like the back end of the '07-'09 GT500 better than the 2010 GT500. I like the hood vents on the '07-'09 GT500 better than the "paper shredder slot". I think the front end of the '07-'09 GT500 is cleaner and less busy looking. I don't like the racing stripes on the seats and shift knob on the 2010 GT500. And anyone can add the FRPP CAI kit with ProCal tuner and have the exact components used to bump the '07-'09 500hp/480tq GT500 motor up to 540hp/510tq for the GT500KR and the 2010 GT500. (Like I already did on my '08 GT500.) |
