Till now there arent any details, Evolution just state "weight reduction". But from what i observed in the vids, their 5.0 has no mufflers or mirrors

Dude if they are serious enough to obsess about removing the small weight that you stated, wouldn't you think they would remove other, more substantial parts (Rear seats, speakers, floor mats, bumper supports, etc..) ? Think about it

Wrong. Watch again. It's only the third run, after the comments that they tried to reduce the weight that the mirrors (and exhaust) are gone... along with whatever else they removed.

LOL I saw a different clip of the video on another forum and didn't bother to watch this one oops. So they ran low 11's with no weight reduction?! Jesus christ. That's insane.

LoL There is simple weight reduction that your average joe might do, then ther is extreme weight reduction that record-chasing professionals perform. There is a difference.

yea thats insane

that mustang was running full bias ply slicks......the camaro in this vid is running what appears to be basic m/t et street radials..........so yea..........

this musclecar arms race has really escalated out of control to the point where nobody thought it was going to get this extreme. Streetable cars running 10's for less than 3-4k in mods? are you freaking kidding me?

For some reason I don't think that mustang is street legal, but I could be wrong.

True, but we don't know what other weight reduction it underwent. Like someone said, airbags etc etc, would not make it street legal.

Not trying to take anything away from the 10s pass though, truly amazing.
