IMO the Vtec comment was intened more for the ford 2011 5.0's torque curve and the fact it has 4 cams with 4 cam gears 32 valves and chain driven! a little more Vtec than your pushrod L99's IMO. Maybe the fact that all of you Ford fans have some kind of excuess everytime GM wins. But its just a joke, dont take it too personal Blue oval boys.

At the track tonight the best pass on the Evo car was 12.85@111mph - 2.00 60ft on street tires.

It ran 12.49@112.55mph 1.80 60ft on M/T ET Streets. They didn't get in many runs because the track was packed!

No, there are tune modifications. They said they are slight and are still testing but it's in no way a stock vehicle anymore.

All I was saying was don't take it to personal when GM has to go the Vtec route themselves.

Maybe you will rail against the next gen corvettes and camaros when they use it.

Looks like they made 3 runs tonight from what they posted. Although it could have been more and we wouldn't know.

Sounds like they made 1 pure stock run, but again they could have made more and we wouldn't know.

Didn't they buy 3 5.0's? I hope they keep one stock and go after the best ET's and traps they can get with it.

3 5.0s, 1 V6, and a GT500 with SVT package.

I wish they would have pushed the car stock a little more also. But they are in the business of modding cars for customers. So they have to get right to work on seeing what helps and what doesn't.

Oh well. There will be plenty more people taking stockers to the track soon. Just need a week or two.

Yea the only thing that sucks is we will probably have to wait till the fall to see the best stock numbers though.

I just want to see what Evan Smith gets out the damn thing.
