My opinion has absolutely nothing to do with my age. I don't know you came to that conclusion. But I just don't like it. That's my opinion and I reserve the right to express it. as long as i follow the forum posting rules.

What is it today? Everyone's in a bad and confrontational mood.

Including me. I'm going to grap a beer. I'll be back. Maybe that will fix it from my side.
no, not mad. I guess that came out wrong. But I just don't understand the "youngsters" comment.

Yea your right but the side gills arent imitating anything except a styling cue, they are not open or cut out with a plastic filler plate. I agree the mailslot is silly and doesnt do anything but its also not on the hood which to me doesnt really mean its suppose to represent any kind of airflow to anything. And again, its very subtle. The hood scoop is not. Sorry, fake scoop. So whats next, 426 hemi emblems? Im also very aware of the heritage and history of the mopars. Just because someone says the fake hood looks cheezy doesnt mean they are wet behind the ears. Reminds me of the guys that go to pepboys and buy those 3m double sided sticky fake scoops and put them on their yugo. But, thats just my opinion.

the gills are fine i agree

the thing is most hoods today are all for style and just to get cool air into the engine area.....the filters are no longer on top of the engine...therefore nearly all hoods are for looks....just like the stock challenger scoops are "fake" as well.

No harm no foul

I agree 100%. I personally like the retro scoop.

Thats not a scoop. Its not fake, doesnt it have open slits on the backside to draw in fresh air?

I don't like the scoop. I don't like the shifter. The spoiler looks okay, but it doesn't look any more okay than stock. I'm basically 'meh' on the whole thing, I guess.
