ZL1, GT500, Hellcat, are these not muscle cars? To bring chassis development into this discussion the way you do, on a car of this size and mass, is ignorant. The numbers don't lie, this one pulls 1/2 g higher than the 392 and does the figure 8 as fast as a car half it's size. What else do you need to know?
This isn't the 1970s, but Camaros and Mustangs still outnumber any other car at the strip.

Dude, look at what GM is focusing on. Z/28 = track car. MRC in the ZL1 and 1LE is for the road course not the 1/4 mile. If you want to focus on 1/4 times I'd recommend spending more time on the Dodge/Ford site. GM is not making a 1/4 mile only car unless you want a COPO.
