The 392 is $54k loaded. No way in hell this car will see 50's. Maybe not even 60's. Look for near 80k optioned out. Mark my words.

and?? You cant be serious. Everyones saying its going to be a turd cause of its weight. 10's with only a tire is slow?? A 110k GTR "only" runs 10's with awd, 3800lbs, and dct. Guess that car isnt impressive as well right?
A GT500 cant pull that off and a ZL1 damn sure cant. Lucky if it can run an 11.9 but Jesus that car is a beast right? Gimmie a break.

Really? Its tires are only 10mm wider and not as sticky. It also a solid axle thats hard as chit to plant with anything other than a drag radial. It also only comes in a manual thats hard as chit to get into gear. Trust me the 8spd alone will take advantage and expose all of those shortcomings.

The 8spd will do the same for the hellcat.

I know with proper track prep a 275 drag radial could dead hook on that car. Point being its not all about tread width. Rubber compound plays a huge roll as well. It may be a very sticky 275. Couple that with launch control and a killer auto and im willing to bet a good driver will plant the rear just fine.

Jesus Christ man put down the magazines. Its like you're a magazine puppet.
You love to quote mag results and say what cars dont do in the real world. Well let me tell you ive seen more than a few ZL1's running high 12's @ 109-114 tops. Dont sit here and act like every stock zl1 that runs down the 1/4 hits 12.1's@119mph. They dont, not by a long shot.
The ZL1 is a turd from a roll. Especially after a few wot runs and heat sets in.
The ZL1 is the same weight as a 392, has 110 more hp so one would think it could put 10mph on it for traps right?? Lets see. These are some rough numbers...
Lowest trap
ZL1-110ish??
392-104ish?? (Both of these are worst case scenarios. Be it heat or very high altitude)
6mph difference with 110 hp advantage??
Highest trap
ZL1-120 (being generous)
392-114 (documented)
Again 6mph.
Not very impressive at all imo.
Best et
ZL1-11.9??
392-12.3??
4 tenths with 110 advantage?? Pathetic.
The hellcat will absolutely annihilate the ZL1 in any form of straight line test and im suspecting it will be a lot closer on the road course than most are expecting.
Last but not least its hilarious how many are making fun of its weight when a ZL1 is a 4200lb car that still cant seat 4 adults much less 5 like the challenger can. At least the challenger has a reason for its weight. Its a big car with a big space.
The zl1 is a not so big car with not so big space with BIG weight. How does that work??
