Are you illiterate? That is the same MotorTrend review I posted above. It shows precisely why the Viper is failing. Thank you for proving my point. The Viper team had 5 YEARS to best the Corvette. 5 YEARS. What happened? They introduced the GTS in 2013 only to have it EMBARRASSED by the C6 ZR1 http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...srt_viper_gts/

Next they introduced the 2014 Viper TA and FINALLY managed to beat the outgoing, 5/yo C6 ZR1 around Laguna Seca by a whopping 0.08 seconds.

This was vs the C6 at the end of its life cycle. What do you think happens when the C7 Z06 and ZR1 are put on the track with it? Let me give you a hint: http://jalopnik.com/is-the-650-hp-co...ers-1588262012

On the contrary, you are stuck in the past because you fail to see beyond the straight-line, 1320' performance of these cars. Cars are more than that.

Using your logic it takes GM building a 75k Camaro to beat an automatic SRT8 Core 392 which can be purchased for 40k? Or come 15 it takes GM building a 75K Camaro to run with a 42k 15 R/T 392? See it works both ways .
So they are born desperate. Thank you.

The Z/28 was not built to compete with the SRT8. It wasn't benchmarked against it, it isn't marketed against it. Dodge has no answer for the Z/28 and for the last three years hasn't had an answer for the ZL1. There is always next year right? Just wait for the 392, just wait for the improved suspension, just wait for the 8-speed, just wait for the R/T 392...there is always next year right?

Besides, according to AEP11, the 392 is just a waste of $10,000 since it is a drivers race vs the SS and GT.
