i am not contradicting myself...they wouldnt play black artist in primetime...then finally when michael became so popular(plus the fact that michael's bosses threatened to not give mtv more videos from there label's artist.) MTW BLEW UP...the M in MTV pretty much meant michael for the duration of the 80s.
all in all what you dont understand is that i am not saying mj was the one guy who changed the way things work but he helped a whole lot.

I STILL have Billy Jean on my thumb drive and have listened to it in my Camaro. Even before his death. Say Say Say was freaking awesome.
But the other artists I named were on prime time even as MJ was doing his thing.
Oh, and btw, I got some serious make out time with Human Nature.
