But then again, if you go on the SRT site and spec a SRT Charger just like a SS (fully loaded with only a sunroof as an option) it ends up being $54K.
It was actually the other way around on the G8 sales. The G8 GXP sold quickly. Many things contributed to that: The availability of the LS3, a manual option, only offered for one year, and the last unique Pontiac (besides the cool Solstice coupe). Only 1,829 GXP's were made, and the only reason some stayed on the lot for a while was because some dealerships were having crazy markups on them.

Keep in mind the 54k CHarger SRT8 includes features the SS will not have and are not comparable.you have to be including the 392 group, which is a looks only group, and the harmon Kardon audio group which i can guarantee the SS will have nothing comparable and will be comparable to stock system which i believe is Boston Acoustics, though it may actually be a beats system now. the only things I can see to add are the drive protection and adaptive cruise control which brings it to roughly 49k. i still say roughly 46k (same as a standard SRT8) is a good estimate, keeping in mind that even at that price the Charger has 20 vs 19 inch rims, and a bilstien adaptive suspension (may be othr things, but i am not 100% sure of what all the SS will have as features).
