I think that through positive deeds he can atone for his past mistakes. He has used his status to do a lot of good in the Baltimore community. It's clear that there is a difference between the Ray that committed the act ten years ago and the Ray that is around now. Once you cut through all of that religious bullshit he spouts off and look at the things he does off the field, it's clear. If you watch the NFL network special on him, you can tell as well. His speech to the rookies that they show in the film is pretty moving. As a biased fan, I like to think he's moved past that part of his life and those types of decisions - only time will tell how true that is.
