Also, no I don't think losing power steering at those speeds, as he was swerving around traffic would of been the best idea. Did you see the video where he barely missed a car as he went slamming into the emergency lane. No power steering in that situation and he doesn't clear that car. Instead he smashes into it.

Lol you can turn off the ignition ANYTIME! You don't have to have it in neutral. You do not know what you are talking about.
I had my aftermarket cruise control malfunction on a car one time and I couldn't slow down or disengage it at 70mph. I turned off the ignition and stopped on the side of the road. I had no trouble controlling or stopping the car. And this was on a Chevrolet. So I know if you act as soon as you discover the problem you can safely stop the vehicle.
