I agree the GTO should be remembered as one of Pontiac's finest moments and the start of the muscle car. The Malibu was an upgrade in trim to the Chevelle. Chevy already has the Malibu, which has been well accepted. A possible problem is the original Camaro was smaller then the Chevelle, whereas the current Camaro is about the same size as the current Malibu.
I don't think a GTO or Chevelle will help GM's current position and just divert resources away from other projects that may bring in more revenue.
