I was hoping to add a camaro to the garage in a few more years (To make a nice GM garage...)

But, with all of this talk of Government ownership, I'm really concerned. I realize GM products likely wont fall off the face of the earth, but what will happen? I've tried finding articles online that are helpful, but I've come up empty handed about exactly what's going on.

Will the government have say in GM's dealings? Will they have any influence to the company outside of providing money?

How will GM's quality be affected with all of this stuff going on? Will employees have other things on their mind while putting the brake lines on???

What about resale value. I know it's a long-shot, but if there were to be no more GM, and I were to sell one of my vehicles, what kind of money would I see back? I know historically, GM's fetch decent prices on resale, but if there is no GM, I doubt people would still be willing to pay as much.

Who would service my vehicle, and with what parts (and how long will those parts be in the pipeline??)? You know how hard it is to find a decent mechanic these days???

To me, these are my main questions. I'm pretty nervous and very confused right now. I've been weighing other options out there (Ford Superduty, mainly... and I've even considered Nissan's aging Titan), but other than the fact that Ford APPEARS to be holding up well, and the fact that the Superdutys sit better (read=higher with wheels that fit the wells), the GM trucks win everywhere else.
Seriously?

GM's not going anywhere folks...
