The statement about what does it matter if HP is there. I can agree with that mostly...there should be minimum HP/TQ standards. There is also a certain amount of tradition with engine size, and I think that's what makes a lot of people not like hearing about these changing engine sizes. V6 and V8 have been the engine choices for Camaro since I can remember. V8 has been in Corvette for a very long time now. I have to admit that a turbo 4 in a Camaro makes me cringe a little.

I have a V6 Camaro...I love it...have no regrets buying it...love the HP it has. I have my reasons for going with a V6 over SS. The only thing I would like in my Camaro is that sound a V8 makes. I put a CAT Back on my V6 and it really helped the sound and it did make me very happy. The sound of a V8 didn't out-weigh my other needs. I'm sure if we see a V6 in a Corvette or a turbo 4 in Camaro...there will be those people that say the same.
