I also highly doubt that they like muscle cars but just cant afford one. Last I looked a 4th Gen LT1 is pretty affordable. 3rd gens are really affordable.
they like there cars we like ours. I am 23 and am on my 2nd carmaro. owned a firebird formula and a Pontiac G8 GT. Closest I got to the "tuner" crowd would of been my 01 grand prix GTP.
If they wanted a "muscle car" they would find a way to get one in there price range.
anyways Im not against "tuners" they have some pretty sick ones but to say they are cheaper to build and this and that I think is incorrect.

I was quite amazed at the repsonse I got......... 9 times out of 10 the reason was FINANCES ( MONEY) Most 'Ricers" are younger as I said earlier and they can't afford a new Camaro, Mustang, Challanger and then afford to modify it till their hearts content...simply does not add up financially.

And cheap to mod is true until you hit the big power mods. Of course the big power cars are not cheap. But, my sons friends have little Hondas they picked up for 500.00 and put boom boxes in with a spoiler and bumper cover with a big exhaust tip, some black tape on the headlights. Looks well moded for under 1000.00.
I guess the point is in the ricer community 'Moded' is an accepted term for anything you do. So YES, 'modding' can be MUCH cheaper.
