Ford has posted profits for 11 quarters straight. I understand your point and it is a good one, but his holds water as well. Saying Ford, *couldn't* answer the zr1 is just naive. They probably won't because of cost. That is unless this becomes a reality
There have been rumors that the development of the 650hp 5.8 was with this car in mind. Until it's confirmed they're just rumors, but it's a real possibility. ZR1 is the king of American cars though and will continue to be until something faster is built. I doubt that challenge will come from Ford first though, it will come from the new Viper.
