I've boiled hundreds maybe even thousands of eggs in it and have maybe had a handeful go kaboom ,but when they do
. The trick is to cook them a minute or two less than they say and let them cool naturally, then they finish cooking on their own. I usually do 9 min for large to jumbo with no problems. Also if you're cooking a bunch of them you have to dump the water and start with cold water for each batch or they will pop.
