The OP stated he wants a V8 so it is safe to assume he wants performance but can't afford a new SS and doesn't want the V6 Camaro. To me, his option of getting a 4.6 Mustang GT fits his desire for performance for what he can afford at this point. There is a ton of after-market performance support for the Mustang and stock, it is already faster than a new Camaro V6. Noobs think because the Camaro V6 has 314hp and the GT has 300hp, the Camaro is faster.
Stock for stock, Power to weight ratio plus TQ, the GT is faster, period. The Camaro is prettier comments are garbage...he is not looking for a pretty car, he wants a V8. Besides, "pretty" depends on who you are asking. At the Mustang sites, the Camaro looks like crap..but that's their opinion, not fact.
