I'm still surprised at the buzz regarding the price difference. If performance numbers were closer I could understand, but performance isn't on par so I don't expect pricing to be either.
SS and GT500 are two different cars playing on two noticeably different levels. Both cars make an interesting argument in their own right as regards value for the dollar (example: one is the cheapest car on the market in the 400-500hp range while the other is the cheapest car producing more than 500hp)
But, unless the GT500 is an utter handling let-down compared to the lesser GT model...which seems extraordinarily unlikely.....I don't see a close enough matchup in terms of performance to warrant a serious debate about the price difference between the two. There is no blurring of the lines here as we have seen with the SRT8 Challenger, these cars are truly on different performance planes.
