I ended up stationed with a guy I grew up with. He was Security Police in the AF. He went to Honduras. Said he hated going outside the wire cause he went with guys that didn't want him there and he had nowhere near their training. He said they did their best to take care of him though cause they knew he had no idea what he was doing. No offense taken here, you have an entirely different specialty, just the way it is. Or at least was. All the services have their specialty and depend on each other from time to time. Its all good. Closest I came to ground combat was one excersize at Seymour Johnson when they actually gave us M-16 with the blank adapter. That was odd. Next thing we knew the 82nd Airborne was dropping from the skys. We had fun shooting blanks at them then they landed, got on buses and headed back to "Fayettenam". I remember in basic our TI told us that the Airforce didn't have enough M-16 to go around. His advice was to beat the nearest Marine unconcious and take his. LOL

No offense to others but I would be embarrassed to be apart of the army or air force!!! and would not feel safe going outside the wire with them!! I have personal experience for my reasons!!
