My point about the V6 Camaro which may seem irrelevant is that since I have used a Windows 7 Phone I will not buy another iPhone due to the fact that I have been over impressed with it. There is nothing short of a Redesign of iOS that could get me to buy another iPhone, just as I could never buy a V6 Camaro might seem irrelevant to you but that was how I compared it. Windows Phone 7 buttery smooth, fast and therefore is a V8, the iPhone is great until you overload it with apps and music and therefore is a V6. I use engine analogies for everything. Essentially the iPhone 4S is like slapping a Cold Air Intake, Headers and a Tune on an existing car instead of releasing a newer 10x better one.

Also I about the $1000 I bought the iPhone the day it came out, most expensive model. Came to roughly $960 after tax and as for the throwing out comparison it was more so a testament to the fact that you can get an iPhone for you said $300 (in Canada on a 3 year contract we can too) or for just a little more you can get a much better phone for just a little bit more that is insured to get full updates, minus the obvious updates for cars.
Thanks for the interesting and well thought out explanation.

Ouch!! No way I'd pay that much for a phone. I'm glad it doesn't cost that in the US because if it did I'd have a prepaid phone.
