I put my keys on my dash and my hands visibly on the steering wheel, and don't root around in my pockets and glovebox for my license/registration/insurance until the cop is watching me intently, so that he doesn't think I'm trying to have a weapon ready when he walks up.

Do you know how much mercy I get? Zero. Every time, I get whacked with whatever the cop reasonably thinks he can give me. I must be ugly or something. Everybody I know always gets warnings or entirely let off, and I get all the tickets, even if I wasn't driving abnormally offensively.

People spend loads of time dangerously tailgating me wishing I'd go faster, because I usually try very hard to avoid a ticket, then on the rare occasion I drive more like others I get a ticket. I don't even have any modifications or damage that attracts attention to my cars! They are plain, no tint, all license plates present, etc.

I think it's not done on purpose; I think the cars that turn everyone else's heads also turn cops' heads. Then again, my efforts to drive unremarkable-looking vehicles don't seem to help me...
Ouch...that sucks.

Already had people try to do that. I pulled the pill bottle and saved it. We scraped the cocaine out of it...and got an arrest...hehehe...might not have been the full amount to get a higher penalty, but still, it was a felony!

Thanks. I pray to God every day for everyone's safety. But, it happens....Oakland. We lost two more officers at the end of last year in an auto accident. This is just crazy.... it's say, you know. The worst part? ...is when an officer dies in the line of duty and leaves 1, 2, 3 kids and a wife behind. That is sad....:(

Thanks. I don't call myself a hero over here. I just love doing my "job" catching bad guys. Man, this is a real game of "cops and robbers" and I get to play it every day catching the bad guys!

Now...there is this one prick who's broken into 3 houses in my neighborhood during the day time so far....and he'd better pray to God that he does not break into my house when we are home during the day...or night. This neighborhood hasn't had any issues for 4 years since it's been here...and all of the sudden, burglary after burglary.... I know it's the same group....and we'll get him....or them....
