OMG, Doc! I remember that book. It was titled "101 Elephant Jokes."

Among my faves were:

How do you a get an elephant out of a box of jello?

Follow the directions on the side of the box.

How do you make a marble sculpture of an elephant?

Get a block of marble and chisel off everything that doesn't look like elephant.

I, too, was very easily amused when I was 11 (what am I saying, that was only 11 years ago.)

I took this picture some years ago. I have other pictures of him, even newer ones but I think this is the only one with me in it.

What a beauty!

Mr. Twisty! That's so twisted!

Don't know if you're still in Wisconsin, but if you get the chance, slide over to Nicolet, MN, a little town about 90 miles WSW of Minneapolis, and go to Schmidts's Meat Market. Their Summer Sausage is THEEEE Best. They also ship some of their products. Whenever I'm back in MN, I stop in, buy a bunch of meat, stuff it in a cooler and take it as carry-on on the plane home. Yummy. Seriously. Check 'em out. Seriously.
