And I was spending $30 for jeans in middle school. That's not much money and @ GAP that's a heavily discounted pair. They're one of the few retailers that offers a 36" inseam, so yes I shop there and @ Gap's 2 cousins. And no, not gay. I wouldn't even "consider myself fashionable". An expensive pair of jeans will run you well over $100 and I've never spent $100 on a pair of jeans.
