That's my main point. You give it a 470HP engine when you know the competition is putting out 550+HP for their top of the line engines, weight aside, it just seems underwhelming. At least play the numbers game and get the HP past 500.

The people who are going to race them against the GT500 and ZL1 will mod their cars. ANd you are looking too much into the weightdifference, the Camaro is quite a pig itself, it just doesn't have the extra price, room, or features to show for it and the ZL1 will be even heavier (I would be at LEAST 4100 pounds). ALso a lot of Dynos and times are showing true HP at the crank to be more like 500, automatic equipped Challengers are hitting as quick as 12.4, which BTW isn't but a few 10ths off the GT500 with the stock tires. Unlike the GT500 and ZL1, the C SRT8s are multi mission cars, race em on the weekends, take a family of 5 on a vacation, take it to work everyday, load it out how you want it (in dash hard drive, 19 speaker sound system, special SRT Leather seats, shift paddles, adaptive suspension with multiple settings, etc, etc.
