Diameter and width are other considerations.

You should be using a Getrag rear and those are pretty stout from what I have read about.

Having a solid axle at the strip does help but they require the proper setup. Axle tube reinforcement, carrier bearing protection, setting the pinion angle, etc... Some work involved to get it working and surviving 6K RPM launches time after time.

Cool. I've been launching at 2000 RPMs. Above that and I spin the DRs too much.

What kind of tire pressure do you use? I've tried 20psi and like it "ok" but I'm spinning on my 1-2 shift a bit. I tried 18psi but it felt like the car was bouncing all over the place on ever shift. Back end was like a pogo stick.
