You don't need classes to take good pictures, you do need practice. Take tons of pictures. You'd be suprised what kind of pictures you can take with a kit lense if you just get things figured out. The number one bit of advice I can give is to read the book "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. This will get you on the right track as far as how to use your camera correctly. Don't worry about your pictures looking "pro". Once you figure out composition and post processing, you'll get "pro" photos all the time.

Just don't take it seriously, and have fun! Oh, and you'll shoot better with Nikon! J/K!
