That doesn't sound like this problem at all. That sounds somebody didn't know how to shift

The cold shifting issue only occurs when the fluid in the transmission is cold, once the fluid is warm, the shifter can be moved into gear with two fingers. Another thing I totally forgot about until I mentioned the TSB to a couple of 4.6 and 5.0 friends of mine, Ford fixed a clutch pedals issue last year. There was an issue where some of the clutch pedal in the V6/5.0s were not returning from the floor. Ford put the GT500 setup in the 5.0's that were built after summer I believe. These clutch pedals are pretty firm and require the peddle to be completely to the floor before you can enter another gear. However, the clutch will start to loosen up around 4000 miles... Some people (A lot of us) try to short shift the car... don't do that...
