Yeah I know I was supposed to tell him I had a weapon in the car but I never thought about it until I heard the dispatcher say that I had a CC license. He asked about it and I told him it was in the glove box, loaded but no bullet in the chamber and the safety was on. I asked if wanted to inspect it and he said no. He was truly more interested in my car than anything else.
This is the first time I didn't say something to the cop when he came up to my window. I usually say something like "what the hell are you pulling me over for" or "I wasn't doing a damn thing wrong."
I read somewhere that cops hate when you start giving them shit when they come to your window. I had a Highway Patrol tell me to show more respect, to which I thought "screw you, you tail light chaser." So this time I didn't say a word when he came to my window untill he spoke first. He asked me how I was doing and I told him that depends on what you are pulling me over for.
I thought you always had 24 hours to prove you have a drivers license. The police can find out if you have a valid driver's license in about 2 minutes so I can't see why they would fine you for not having it with you. Same w/ registration, they can run the plate and determine if the plate matches the car, what do they do with the registration?
