Talk more about the what, instead of the who or why.
A group is being formed for oversight of the auto industry. The political leanings of the president (and your opinion of said leaning) have little to do with that fact. Similarly, slippery slop/snowballed 'and eventually we will be . . . ' scenarios are based upon political opinion and have minimal relevance to the topic at hand.
