I have a mockingbird outside my window, too, but I enjoy it. He (or she) does a pretty good impersonation of a car alarm.
When my mom visits, she says it's my pet.
I also hear what I think are frogs during the hot, humid summer months. They don't wake me up, but they make it difficult to fall asleep.
