But that's just it, in the past, there used to be significant fuel-savings between the V6 and V8 versions. That is simply just not the case anymore. I mean, look at these examples:

2010 V8 Camaro: 16 city/23 highway (estimated)
2010 V6 Camaro: 17 city/27 highway (estimated)

2010 V8 Mustang: 16 city/24 highway
2010 V6 Mustang: 17 city/26 highway


If you are that concerned about fuel economy, why are you even looking at a pony/muscle car to begin with?
