I hope you're not refering to me as a "TROLL". The SSC is not "my cause" but, I am a war Vet, retired military 23 years so I've earned the right to f'in "Chest thump". Nothing I said in my original post was improper or unintelligent...and if you feel a true American's remarks (with a college education) makes other Americans seem uneducated...thats your problem. The SSC Aero is a fine 8 Cylinder piece of technology and it is made here in the U.S.A. That is all I was trying to say....V8 get it...compared to a V16? I quess my last line of sarcasm in the first post flew way over your educated head??? I do voice my opinion strongly but I try hard not to belittle or berate others for their opinion. I also love F1 racing but after the start...its follow the leader....not much racing...the rules commitee needs to do something. If you want to be heard....don't make fun of or degrade others...it brings you to a lower level.
(USAF retiree defended this country from 1980 - 2003 and will do so until the day I die). Thumpin my chest!!!
Sorry one more point: you said "WW2 ended over 50 years ago, the Cold War over 20. We are a world culture and everyone seems to be getting along these days especially when it come to technology". Dude.....turn on the news....get real....no one is "getting along these days". schwooo!!!!

Since it's apparent you've never sat in either car, you've never researched either car beyond your magazine specs, or probably never even SEEN either car, you are a troll. Did the whole "it isn't a dedicated sports car" thing go over your head? The Veyron is an all-around package, and still beats the SSC Aero, which is only concerned with speed. It's pretty sad that a dedicated straight line dragster can't beat the all-rounder. As for your "16 cylinders lulz," you do realize Bugatti could get so much more hp out of that engine, but for what cause? They already are at the top in speed, and they are concerned with making a car that is a luxury jet on ground. The Aero, on the other hand, is an uncivilized dragster. It still has wheelspin in the triple digits (so much for stability and fine driving).
Xenophobia is a thing of the past. Get over it
