I'm not a tech geek or interior guy but ... to me it looks like the insanely expensive Veyron is lacking even a nav screen (which appears to be present in the Ultimate Aero TT). I also noticed what appears to be a leather dash in the UA TT. Is that a plastic dash on the Veyron? It can't be leather because there is no stitching that I can see. I prefer the black interior but you can get the UA TT's interior in black as well so I'd call that a wash. Or am I missing something? Like I said, I'm not really an interior guy.

Shelby Super Cars Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo. No relation to Carol Shelby. The V8 is based off the LS6 from the C5 Z06. Yup, for 2 and a half years, the worlds fastest car was powered by a Chevy Small Block

And not only that, it achieves it's top speed of 268mph in less distance than it takes the SSC Ultimate Aero to even reach it's top speed "256mph". Sure theoretically, the Aero can go faster, given enough space, but the Aero runs out of track before it can even pull past it's 256mph record, while the Bugatti on the other hand can take the world record back with a higher top speed with the same space it's always used during it's preproduction testing, right at they're facility. Not to mention many top-speed test failed for the Aero because during the test drivers of the Aero reported bad "wheel-spin" at 190mph+. The Buggati doesn't suffer from those problems, because it has AWD,traction control, and stability control. The Bugatti has even managed an amazing feat in snow, it managed to pull a truck out of a snowy ditch on Bugatti's snow course. With all that wheel-spin in the Aero and no traction control you can't even dream of doing that. You can practically travel at high speeds in rain and around corners in the Bugatti and still not lose any traction and remain absolutely stable. If you ever watch some of the Bugatti top speed runs, at 240+mph, inside of the car is absolutely quiet! It doesn't even sound like the engine is on! That in itself is ASTOUNDING. The Aero on the our hand,......no.

Jay Leno let the car loose on a highway and from the inside of the car it sounds like your in a boiler room! lol. Not my cup of tee mate. If I had a choice and the money, the Bugatti would be the first car I'd buy hands down. The Aero is an amazing car of epic proportions itself, but it's interior and the noise it puts out in between shifts is not worth it's price-tag.
I'm sure the picture that was posted wasn't of the retuned engine. And when you're talking about running the Veyron to its limit, remember that it was done on a gigantic circle test track with steep banking vs a stretch of closed down highway in the desert. The centrifigal force from running on a banked road gives the AWD car even more grip on the already grippy surface. A worn out highway in the desert isn't exactly ideal for this sort of thing. Maybe they'll run it again at Daytona after it gets repaved, it won't be as good as a circle but it should be an awful lot better than a few miles of highway. Maybe they can talk one of the big 3 into letting them use a great big test circle. But regardless, the UA TT still has more speed left in it, 272 mph I believe.

As for the 'uncivilized' aspects of the TT such as ...

to me, thats a sign of baddassness. If I want a quiet, comfortable, exclusive luxury car, I'll look at a Rolls Royce or something. But if I am looking to buy the worlds fastest car, I want to know I'm getting a machine. I don't want a jack of all trades, I want something that is purpose built for speed. By the same token, I'll take a Viper over an R8 any time.
