To the OP, take the dog to the vet as soon as possible. Waiting will only make the injury worse. We can do X-rays in less than five minutes on a slow day. If it isn't too serious, like a sprain or something, some pain meds such as Rimadyl and rest will do. If it actually is fractured, he'll probably need a cast or splint of some sort. Could take a few weeks to heal depending on the severity.

Again, do NOT follow Big Brunsy's "advice." Get the dog to the vet.
