It REALLY must bug you that GM is (sucessfully) able to compare a V6 Camaro to a V8 Mustang. It's NOT all about the V8/V6 to many people... they might prefer the handling or comfort or IRS or the styling or the features. A loaded V6 Camaro 2LT/RS will cost the same as a "stripper" Mustang GT AND get better fuel economy. People that are cross shopping these cars will know that and MANY of them will opt for the Camaro. DEAL WITH IT. (Why do you think Ford totally reworked their V6 model for 2011???)
And the ad said "V6" and not "LT" because BOTH the "LT" and "LS" models are V6 and BOTH get better gas mileage than a 2010 Mustang GT. For what it's worth they ALSO get better mileage than a 2010 mustang V6 too (but those are so outclassed by the Camaro they aren't considered competition)

The average person who doesn't know the Mustang GT comes with a V8 wouldn't give a $hit about muscle cars.
