Even though the 4.6L engine has less HP than a 6.2L V8 they both gain the same mod to mod. What I mean is you add typical bolt-ons to a 4.6L V8 and add the same bolt-ons to a 6.2L V8 and both will have the same percentage of gain. For example 25% RWHP will be made on both cars. So neither one is more effiicent, obvioulsy the 426hp car will gain more HP (426+25%=532HP vs. (350+25%=437HP). So don't expect the 5.0L V8 to all of the sudden respond poorly to mods because it its bigger and better.
On top of the new engine the Mustang is lighter and I don't see the weight changing too much, they just refreshed the car this year. Look, I don't like the looks of the new Mustang at all and they have always been a joke without seriuos mods or FI, but this 2011 Mustang is the real deal.
