either get sides on the car port. or buy a decent cover. What are you gonna do when a bird inevitably shits on it? Speak with mother nature or God about it? Or when it gets a rock kicked up at it from the road? Call the highway dept and tell them they have to pay for the repair? really now. Its a car. Unless you never drive it or take it out of a environmentally controlled storage unit .. it's gonna get dings, scratches and such. Its called life
Here's a still pic of my next door neighbor's cat on my car. I'd say that's pretty damning evidence. BTW, as you can see this was before I got the vinyl stripe in in June, so this has been going on for a looong time. $500 vinyl stripes and cat claws do not mix.

Curious, if your neighbor was mowing his lawn and you saw a rock fly out from under his mower and bust your windshield would you hold him responsible for the repairs or would that just be "life"? Or how about if he had his roof reshingled and a roofing nail made it into your tire? As far as a bird pooping on my car... the bird doesn't have an owner, same with a rock. The cat belongs to my neighbor. If it wasn't for my neighbor the cat wouldn't be there, therefore the neighbor is responsible.
