Badging Etiquette
Maybe a dumb question but here goes. So LT1 is an engine designation but it also a model designation. On my SS, would it look off if I were to put LT1 badges on the each side of the hood rises or even on the front fenders?

If it's your car, you can do what you want with it.....I'm new to the muscle car scene, so that's just the libertarian in me coming out

Don't see a problem with it, it has a LT1 engine so LT1 badges are not out of place.

Thanks for the replies. I'm kind of up into air between the LT1 badging or a 6.2L badging.

Found these and thought they'd look pretty good against the silver paint

Not that it's worth much, but between the two my vote is for the 6.2 badges.

I had a 2015 Vette and had a pinstriper stripe the bulge in the hood with 1970 Corvette LT1 style pinstripes. I thought it looked great and am thinking of doing the same with my LT1. I'll see if i can find a pic.

I was at the Run To The Sun car show in Myrtle Beach and the pinstriper did it right there, it took about 15 minutes for $100. |

The LT1 is in your car so no problem using that emblem on your car in my opinion. The big no no in the car world is to add a few cosmetic mods to rebadge the car.
