Yeah, hi-tech design marches on. They had to cut out a large section of the steering wheel so you can see the speedometer...lol...Now that's progress!

That's just a cutaway in the rendering because the angle of the image does obscure the speedometer for the picture. You can tell because the left side has a piece of metal tube sticking out (the wheel core) and the right side has the red ring showing that it's been cut. That being said - if it WAS real, it wouldn't be the first time a concept had a ridiculous steering wheel shape (how many have had yokes??), but they always revert to something more traditional for production, probably for legality and safety reasons.
