Anyone tried this new drag radial?

Has anyone tried the Nitto NT555 RII on a car with over 650 RWHP.

Searching for info on this tire I ran a crossed a thread on the Hellcat forum and they love this tire and the Toyo R888R, not many people use them here from what I have seen? Is it because there are many more cars in the 650 RWHP and up on that forum?

Lots of guys on here I have talked to are running them. The 888r's are WAY too soft and you won't get but about 5000 out of them, depending. I have a set of the 555r2's ordered at my tire shop.

Do your Mickies stay on the car all the time? I am looking for a street tire that hooks great on a 650+RWHP car.

I assume you are running at least 650 RWHP, how well do they handle full power out of the hole, they hook well? Everyone is pointing me toward the Mickey Thompson Street ET SS 305/35R20 but still not sure.

I dynoed 600rwhp on a mustang dyno. So yeah prob 650-675 on a dynojet. At the track I had zero wheel spin and I ran 20psi and trapped at 123mph in 11.40 sec. On the street I ran 28psi. And had minimal spin. They only lasted one track day, about 15 or so runs. I used them on the street for several months prior to the track day though.

The Nittos love to be heated up too. Once you find your hook up psi for your car you are good to go.

Here's my 11.40 run beating a Caddy CTS-V at Atco last year. You'll notice no spin on launch.

No, I have 3 sets. 1 for driving, 1 for racing and 1 for car shows.

That's a road course tire. The op is asking about Drag Radials. Totally different animal.
