430rwhp!!!#???

My current set up on my 2014 Camaro ss Ls3 Kooks long tube headers, Kooks hfc, Cai intake and scoop. My question is. How many crank HP is pushing out with 430rwhp dynoed at the wheels. Thank you all for your response. Just curious. .

Calculated at the generally accepted 15% for a manual, around 495 crank.

Why do you care about crank hp? It's just an estimate where wheel horsepower is an actual measured number.

You can always get a good estimate by dividing WHP by .8 if it's an auto or by .85 if it's a manual.

I knew my estimate was off by a bit.

Not too crazy for a 14-15 LS3, I hit 425 with bolt ons.

I know a guy who hit 460ish rwhp with two different stock cam and heads LS3. 430 is pretty normal

I was a little over 430 with the same mods and no cats before I had my cam and other mods.

1/.85 = 1.1765 (rounded up)

1.1765 x 430rwhp ... so appx 506hp

The increase due to the increase in air/oxygen-flow and fuel.

Is that right? Because now people are going to say they have a 500+ horsepower car lol

Mine's settled at 426rwhp for now with bolt-ons and a tune...

well a 10 second glance at a handful of reported stock dynos, ls3+m6 averages around 370-375ish and l99+a6 averages around 325-330ish. so you can figure the loss factors as 12% for the m6 (426bhp÷375whp) and 18% for the a6 (400bhp÷330whp) with fair accuracy.
so you can assume to have roundabout 482bhp with a stick (430whp*1.12 aka 12%), without taking into account whatever error and variation your particular dyno will have.

also 12% loss is insanely good, i dont know if gm underrated the ls3 by a few horses or the 6060 is just THAT efficient somehow.

Rwhp is only a number. On one dyno the same car could be at 370-380.
In my opinion they should only be used for comparison from before and after etc or if lots of people are using the same dyno you could compare your car to another with the exact same mods to see if you have any problems.
Other then that they should be taken with a grain of salt.

A manual will make more power so I think you have it flipped.
