Got offered 31K for trade in on my 2018

Found a new 2018 ZL1 1LE for 68,500 2 hrs away from me. I called before I headed there and they offered me 31K for my 2018 1LE with 2,530 miles. Are they really not worth atleast 35k trade or think I could get a better deal if I went in person.

You should sell your SS 1LE first then go get yourself the ZL1/1LE . 68.5k is a bit high i think you can find one a few thousand less .

Yeah I agree on the private sale. What's a good price on a zl1 1le. You usually get a better deal in person for sure.

I think 66-k is not impossible , the better deal will happen in person and with the car on the lot . Go to the car rather then a dealer trade to find you one . If you find the car in the color you want just make it happen ,whats a few grand more.

31k is real low...go there in person and knock 5k more off the ZLE price and it might be a good deal. Remember, they are trying to sell cars, not collect them. Good luck with the upgrade!

What's my car worth. Most are advertising with a selling price for 37k.

Have title in hand. Lol

Trading it in for 31k is like selling it private party for $33k. Honestly, it isnt too bad of a deal, considering you wont have to wait months to sell it. I mean yeah, you will be losing out max like $2,000.... but that $2,000 is the price you pay of the convenience of being able to get rid of the old car at the stroke of a pen.

You could try maybe milling another grand or so out of it, but realistically, I think your car is probably worth $35,000... and it might take a few mo tha to sell it st that price. 33k will probably sell relatively fast, but not as fast as a trade in

With a trade-in of 35K and the ZL1 at 68.5K your're at a difference of 33.5K. Are you happy with that price difference? If so, then tell them that is the magic number. This is the best way to negotiate with a trade-in. Always know the magic number! This is how dealers negotiate trades. See...you really don't care if they take off more on the new one or give you more for your trade, just as long as the difference is the number you want. This saves so much time on trying to get a price on your trade or getting them to come down on theirs. Don't even tell them what you want out of your car, let them do their job and get you the difference you want. Good Luck!
